Staying protected this festive season

Check that your home, contents and business insurance sums insured reflect any high-value gifts, stock or equipment added over the festive period.

– If your business will be closed, confirm your policy conditions around security requirements to ensure your cover remains valid and effective.

– Take extra care with Christmas lights, candles and decorations. Switch lights off when unattended and keep flammable items away from heat sources.

– If you’re travelling, ensure alarms are set, doors and windows are locked and consider using time switches for lights.

– Be vigilant about parcel deliveries left on doorsteps and dispose of branded packaging discreetly to reduce the risk of theft and attracting unwanted attention.
