Buildings Insurance

Do you know how much it would cost to re-build your house? The market value has no direct relationship to the re-building cost.

As standard insurers leave this calculation to you, if you underestimate the re-building cost, insurers can penalise you by reducing a claim settlement in proportion to the amount you are under insured!

Calculating the correct re-building cost of your home can be difficult but it is essential that you insure for the full re-building cost to avoid potential problems when making insurance claims.

We recommend that you use a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors to prepare a professional Rebuilding Cost Assessment for insurance purposes. If you would like to be referred to a local surveyor, please contact a member of our team.
